In this article of our series of example hands in limit hold'em, the hand is divided into four parts and every parts and every part is described precisely.
We're holding middle pair and miss the flop.
We're holding in first position. We call, an opponent behind us also calls and the blinds call as well.
Villain 7 calls.
A bad flop for our hand. Besides three overcards, several gutshots are possible on this flop. We should play check/fold on the flop. If all the players check, we may be able to bluff on the turn. With low and middle pairs on flops like this we usually only have two outs, and a bluff doesn't make much sense because this flop hits a lot of starting hands.
Villain 7 bets.
