IntelliPoker FAQ

Q.

What is IntelliPoker?

A.

IntelliPoker is the PokerStars poker school, designed to welcome you to the world of poker and help you Find the Poker Star in you.

To become a winning poker player, you'll need to learn some basic strategies first. IntelliPoker has broken these strategies down into courses, developed with the help of poker experts, which you can learn step by step.

On completion of each course you'll partake in a small quiz, so you can check your progress and see if you're ready to move on to the next course. As soon as you complete the quiz you'll be awarded with various prizes and bonuses which you can redeem at PokerStars.

A.

An email will be sent to you including the reload bonus code you need to use. You'll then need to log on to the PokerStars client selecting 'Cashier' then 'Deposit', and enter your reload bonus.

Q.

How do I qualify for a Reload Bonus?

A.

You are eligible for a reload bonus if you have already made a deposit and pass the Sit & Go or FLHE quiz.

Q.

How do I earn My Reload Bonus?

A.

The release of the 100% reload bonus requires a certain amount of 'qualifying play' before the money will be credited to your account. This 'qualifying play' means you have 183 days to earn 25 VIP Player Points (VPPs) per dollar (USD) or 36 VIP Player Points (VPPs) per Euro (EUR). The bonus will be released in increments $10 (USD) or €10 (EUR) and once the VPPs are earned, the bonus will be released immediately. You do not have to wait until the bonus period expires.

For example, you deposit $20, and receive a 100% reload bonus of $20. To get this credited to your account, you must earn 500 VPPs within 183 days (500 VPPs = $20×25 VPPs per dollar of bonus).

You can check your bonus status by opening the PokerStars lobby screen and selecting:

'Cashier' & 'Check My Bonus Status'

For more information about VPPs, visit the PokerStars VPP page.

Q.

Where Can I see My IntelliPoker Bonus?

A.

Once you make a deposit, you can view your pending bonus in the Cashier window in the PokerStars software. The number of VPPs you must earn to collect the bonus can also be found there. To view these items, click on the 'Cashier' button and select 'Check My Bonus Status'. You can find more information about the VIP program on the PokerStars Frequent Player Program page.

Q.

How can I see my tournament tickets?

A.

Log on to the PokerStars client, select 'Requests' and then 'Tournament Tickets'. A pop-up message will display any tickets you have. Please note that during busy periods, tickets can take up to 72 hours to reach your PokerStars account.

Q.

Where can I use my quiz reward tickets?

A.

There are a few different types of Intellipoker Tournaments you can find on the PokerStars client.

1. PokerSchool $1000 Beginners' Tournaments. These are located in the PokerStars Lobby under 'Tourney' > 'Private'

2. Core Quiz - $1.20 Ticket Tournaments. These tickets can be used in any $1+$0.20 Sit & Go tournament. To locate these tournaments from the PokerStars Lobby screen, select the following tabs:

'Sit & Go' > '1-Table' > 'Micro' (for single table tournaments).
OR
'Sit & Go' > 'Multi-Table' > 'Micro' (for multi-table tournaments).

Next, click the "Buy-In" auto-filter tab (just below the "Micro" tab). A small arrow should appear on the "Buy-In" tab and be pointing upwards (if not, click it again until the arrow points upwards). Also ensure the "Show registering/upcoming only" button is turned on.

Now, in the Sit & Go tournament list, the $1+$0.20 events will be displayed at, or very near, the top.

3. SNG Quiz - $3.40 Ticket Tournaments. These tickets can be used in any $3.40 Sit & Go tournament. To locate these tournaments from the Lobby screen, select the following tabs:

'Sit & Go' > '1-Table' > 'Micro' (for single table tournaments).
OR
'Sit & Go' > 'Multi-Table' > 'Micro' (for multi-table tournaments).

Then in the "Sit & Go Filter…", type the amount on the ticket. For example, if you have $3.40 tourney entry tickets in your account, type "$3.40" in the Sit & Go Filter to see the available tournaments. The Sit & Go Filter option is located on the bottom left of the PokerStars window.

We have also created a manual on how to use PokerStars Tickets.
